A 1980s shingled contemporary on the bluffs is undergoing a complete transformation into a modern beach residence. Driven by a desire to place the main living spaces at the elevation of the former 3rd floor loft, a floating staircase, within a large addition, provides access to an expansive living space with direct views out over the bay. A teak wrapped deck projects out of the volume hovering thirty feet over the native landscape below.
