A lab and office for Ratio Therapeutics, developing radio pharmaceuticals for cancer patients.
The design and organization of the space takes advantage of the large expanses of windows and views out to Boston harbor and the neighboring city skyline.  Office spaces and common areas line the perimeter, while the internalized lab program is edged with glazing to allow for visual connections to the office environment and for views and natural light to filter deep into the lab space.  Consisting of a radio chemistry suite with varying degrees of radioactive hot zones, a vivarium with several procedure rooms, medical chemistry and biochemistry labs, the lab program uses best in class technology to develop radio pharmaceuticals for cancer patients.
A simple palette of materials has been chosen to define collaboration areas, circulation zones and gathering areas. The purposeful exposing of the building deck and structure reveals the history of the building as a once waterside storehouse for military goods and supplies.
